Permaloc Project of the Week 5/6/2013

    Tuesday, May. 7th 2013 11:07 AM

The week Permaloc is featuring a green roof as our Permaloc Project of the Week. The incredible green roof is located at 900 N Michigan Ave in Chicago, IL and features Permaloc’s GeoEdge green roof restraint.

The green roof system used on the rooftop was the LiveRoof pre-vegetated module system. Two different heights of modules (4″ and 6″) were used to allow for varying levels and broader plant selection. The plants include sedums and grasses.

900 N Michigan is a mixed use building located in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. The building houses a parking garage, retail mall, office space, residential condos, and the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel.

We are featuring the green roof that is situated on the roof of the parking garage; however, the building features three separate green roofs.  Each of these were designed by Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects based in Chicago. More information on Hoerr Schaudt, and additional photos of the Project of the Week can be found at the Hoerr Schaudt website.

Permaloc Project of the Week 4/29/2013

    Monday, Apr. 29th 2013 2:22 PM

This week’s Permaloc Project of the Week is 1025 5th Ave in New York, NY. The residential building’s courtyard provides a stunning backdrop to the glass lobby, and is also visible from the street.

A prime location on New York’s Museum Mile (located across the street from the Metropolitan Museum of Art) assures that plenty of passersby enjoy the scenery, as well as the building’s residents and their guests.

The design and installation were both performed by Town & Gardens, Ltd. located in New York City.

The design features various heights of Permaloc’s GeoEdge product in a Black DuraFlex finish.
